Me and My Family(1)

If there were no electricity, there wouldn't be light bulb. Likewise, if there were no root of my family, there wouldn't be me today. [Unless, you use something else instead of electricity for light bulb] Therefore, I would like to record parts of their tales here.

From what I can trace, my great grandfather is the bloodline of Ranong Provincial Governor.At that time this position succeeded through family not elected or given by central government like today. [Kind of like European nobility position such as baron or count] My great grandmother is a Chinese commoner living in Ranong province. They met and married. It seems to be a fairytale life for her but the truth is cruel. My great grandfather's family wished him to marry girl in higher position and made my great grandmother a concubine instead. With honor, She decided to flee... to Phuket.

Unlike nowadays, Phuket and Ranong at that time are treated as important provinces due to their ore productibility. [Now Phuket is famous for its tourist attraction] There, she remarried with other Chinese guy, who I will refer to him as my great grandfather[2], with Chinese family name "Ong" .[อ๋อง] My great grandmother did not come to Phuket alone, she brought a new born child with her from Ranong. Of course, he later became my grandfather.

My grandfather was raised without knowing who his real father is. But there is no secret in this world. He knew about his real father when he was teenager. Then, the epic was made, he ran away from home to Ranong by himself with little information he had. But this tales will be told the other time :).
